In Fiji:
A 58-year-old man died in a house fire in Newtown yesterday.
Divisional Police Commander South SSP Wate Vocevoce says the intensity of the fire made it difficult to evacuate the man who had been bedridden.
He says the fire is believed to have started from a burnt newspaper used by a relative to remove a beehive.
SSP Vocevoce adds joint investigations are underway with the National Fire Authority.
