Diplomatic Corps Pays Tribute to Late Minister Rayalu

Members of the Diplomatic Corps in Fiji gathered at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Suva to sign the official condolence book and pay their respects to the late Honourable Vatimi Rayalu, Minister for Agriculture and Waterways.

Heads of Missions and senior diplomatic representatives expressed their deepest condolences to Hon. Rayalu’s family, colleagues, and the Ministry he led.

Their tribute echoed the sentiments of a nation mourning the loss of a leader dedicated to the advancement of Fiji’s agricultural and rural development sectors.

Hon. Rayalu is remembered for his steadfast leadership and commitment to improving the lives of Fijians through sustainable and inclusive initiatives.

His efforts extended to the remotest communities, where he championed empowerment projects, especially for women and youth, and worked to build resilience in agriculture and water resource management.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fiji’s Diplomatic Missions abroad, and the Diplomatic Corps in Suva have joined the nation in honouring Hon. Rayalu’s legacy one rooted in service, community engagement, and a vision for a peaceful and prosperous Fiji.

The late Minister was laid to rest today at the Old Suva Cemetery.
