In the Volleyball competition, Police Servers 2 have defeated Army Servers 2 in a total of 2 sets out 3
In another match, Police Wives beat Army Wives in a close match of a total of 3 sets out of 5
Police Wives Team Captain, Mereia Tuisawau says the preparation towards todays’ game, was quite challenging
“It was quite a tough journey as most of us would spend our days away from our families especially when most of us have children thus, making those days difficult.”
Police Wives Team Coach, Ratu Seremaia Tuinausori commends his team’s hard work during training in pulling them through today’s game.
“All thanks goes to God for giving us the energy today enabling us to carry out today’s game. While the Army Wives dominated the first set, we were not disheartened as we trusted our training from the past couple of months leading up to today.”
Tuisawau also highlighted a few challenges the team has had to face in preparation to the game against Army Wives
“Yes, a major challenge that we faced as a team was the continuous alteration with our players due to a few changes being made by the higher ups. Two of our players are also playing in the Netball team while 1 is also playing for the rugby sevens team but I thank God for giving us and the rest of the players in the team, a good heart.”
The Fiji Police Force have dominated the volleyball competitions over the past couple of years and look to once again retain that title, this year
