The three-day Rights, Empowerment and Cohesion for Rural and Urban Fijians Stakeholders Outreach Program concludes today at the Napuka Secondary School Grounds in Tunuloa, Vanua Levu.
The event , officially opened by Assistant Justice Minister Ratu Josaia Niudamu, focuses on bringing essential services closer to communities in the Tikina of Tunuloa, Natewa and Cakaudrove as part of the government’s poverty reduction efforts.
Since its launch in 2015, the REACH Program has conducted 59 missions nationwide, reaching 1,438 communities across 78% of districts in Fiji.
The outreach brings together 26 stakeholders, including various government ministries, health services, legal aid and financial institutions, to provide vital services and promote awareness of social, economic and legal rights.
The programme looks to empower rural and maritime communities, enhancing social cohesion and inclusivity.
