The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) has announced an unexpected water disruption affecting customers connected to the Viria System following a burst DN250 main.
According to WAF, the disruption is impacting residents and businesses in several areas:
WAF teams are currently assessing the extent of the damage to determine the full impact on water supply. Updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
To mitigate the effects of the disruption, water carting trucks are on standby to provide support to the affected communities.
WAF is urging residents to store sufficient water for essential use and to conserve water wherever possible during this period.
“We appreciate the public’s understanding and cooperation as our teams work to restore water services swiftly and efficiently,” said a WAF spokesperson.
