Republic of Fiji Military Forces Commander Major General Ro Jone Kalouniwai has confirmed that 13 military personnel are currently undergoing the interview process as part of the ongoing investigation into the death of Jone Vakarisi.
Speaking to the media, Major General Kalouniwai said the interviews form part of efforts to establish the circumstances surrounding Vakarisi’s death.
The Commander also commented on the death of Sakiasi Radravu, confirming that the military officer who was the complainant in the matter was not involved in Radravu’s death.
He said, based on the findings, no action will be taken against the complainant as there was no evidence linking the officer to the incident.
The investigations into both matters are ongoing.
