Cabinet has been briefed on the final results of Fiji’s major national examinations — the Fiji Year 8 (FY8E), Year 12 Certificate (FY12CE), and Year 13 Certificate (FY13CE).
These results do more than just show how students performed — they shine a light on where the education system is working and where it needs to do better. The Ministry of Education is using this data to shape stronger policies that will improve learning outcomes for all students, especially those in rural and remote areas.
There’s also a renewed focus on supporting vernacular language studies, which play a vital role in preserving Fiji’s cultural heritage while supporting literacy and understanding in diverse communities.
Officials say the results will help fine-tune support for students and teachers, and ensure no one is left behind in the journey toward academic success.
