Five men are escaped serious injuries following an accident involving two trucks along Queens Road near Emuri in Sigatoka yesterday afternoon.
Director Traffic Senior Superintendent of Police Mitieli Divuana said it is alleged that the suspect driving towards Sigatoka, lost control of his vehicle causing his truck to veer onto the opposite lane.
This resulted in a head on collision with another truck driven by a 44-year old man.
The 44-year-old man was travelling with three others.
The two drivers were transferred to the Lautoka Hospital where they remain admitted, while the three passengers were treated and discharged from the Sigatoka Hospital yesterday.
SSP Divuana said investigations continue and it is fortunate that no one lost their lives in the accident.
