Fijian Bati International Vuate Karawalevu has signed a two-year deal with the New South Wales Waratahs in preparation for the 2024 Super Rugby Pacific campaign.
Karawalevu, who was a rugby union star in his schoolboy days, was discovered by the Roosters while playing for the Kaiviti Silktails.
Karawalevu represented Fiji Bati at the 2022 Rugby League World Cup in England and made his debut against Italy before going on to be capped on three occasions.
Excited to return to his first love of rugby, the flying Fijian winger expressed his enthusiasm about joining the Waratahs.
Darren Coleman, the head coach of Waratahs, was thrilled to welcome such an exciting player to his roster.
The Waratahs are set to begin their Super Rugby campaign against the Reds on February 24th, 2024.
