Members of Team Fiji to the 2023 Pacific Games in Honiara, Solomon Islands, presented their i-tatau to the President, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, at the State House in Suva today.
Ratu Wiliame said given the mammoth task at hand, the athletes must leave behind any personal issues and challenges that might hinder their performance, and focus solely on achieving their goal at the regional meet.
Ratu Wiliame congratulated the players for making the team and wished them well and that he has the utmost confidence in the Team Fiji athletes to achieve success at the 2023 Pacific Games in the Solomon Islands.
Team Fiji also issued the “Lutu i Qele” cibi or challenge which was presented for the first time (sevu cibi) to H.E Ratu Wiliame Katonivere.
We would like to wish the 490 athletes, coaches and section managers that have been selected to represent Fiji at the 2023 Pacific Games in Honiara, Solomon Islands between 17 November and 2 December 2023, all the best.
