The Fiji Airways Fijian Mens team will need to be on top of their game to get out of their pool in the Cape Town 7s this weekend.
They must perform at their best and give their all in every game.
The team’s focus should be on playing their best game and ensuring they progress from their pool to the knockout stages.
They are grouped with France, Spain, and Argentina.
Coach Ben Gollings has stated that the new format of this year’s Sevens Series requires extra vigilance from the team to progress from the pool.
He further added that none of the teams in their pool can be underestimated and they will need to focus on achieving their goals in every pool match.
On a positive note, Josese Batirerega, who missed the Dubai 7s tournament due to injury, is back and fit to start this weekend in Cape Town.
Barring any upsets in pool stages, Fiji is likely to meet either Samoa or Australia in the quarterfinals.
The team will play their first pool match against France at 8.28pm tomorrow, followed by Spain at 11.06pm, and then Argentina at 4.50am on Sunday.
