The 2026 World Cup final will be held at MetLife Stadium.

FIFA made the news official on Sunday afternoon that the most coveted game of the international tournament will take place on July 19 at the home of the Giants and Jets in East Rutherford, New Jersey, despite rumors earlier this month that the Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas would be awarded the final.

FIFA requires that there be natural grass surfaces for all World Cup games.

MetLife will be putting down natural grass for the tournament and the stadium will go through renovations ahead of the 2026 games.

The United States, Mexico and Canada are jointly hosting the 2026 World Cup.

The 2026 World Cup opener will be played on June 11 in Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca.

The USMNT will play its group stages games on June 12 in Los Angeles, June 19 in Seattle and June 25 in Los Angeles.
