Today, on 11 March, countries around the world are commemorating Commonwealth Day, an occasion that highlights the unity, diversity and shared values amongst the 56 member states of the Commonwealth. 

This annual celebration serves as a reminder of the collaboration and cooperation among nations spanning six continents.

The theme for this year’s One Resilient Common Future: Transforming our Common Wealth. The theme highlights the importance of resilience and transformation in our shared resources and collective future. It emphasises the need for collaborative efforts to address challenges and create sustainable outcomes for all.

Events and activities are taking place in various Commonwealth countries, including flag-raising ceremonies, cultural performances and discussions on topics relevant to the member states. 

Commonwealth Day serves as a reminder of the strength that comes from diversity and collaboration, as member nations continue to strive for a more prosperous, sustainable and inclusive world.
