Labasa Women FC Clinch Vital Draw Against Auckland United FC in OFC Women’s Champions League Showdown

In a gripping encounter amidst rain-soaked conditions in Honiara, Fijian champions Labasa Women FC showcased their resilience by securing a crucial point against tournament debutants Auckland United FC. The match, marked by tactical maneuvers and spirited performances, unfolded with Labasa’s dramatic equalizer in the final ten minutes, ultimately culminating in a 1-1 draw.

From the onset, the New Zealanders displayed their prowess, demonstrating crisp passing and build-up play. However, Labasa remained steadfast, poised to capitalize on counterattacks. Goalkeeper Selai Tikoisuva emerged as a pivotal figure, thwarting Auckland United’s early attempts, including a notable save from Danielle Canham’s long-range strike.
