Fiji National University has partnered with Swire Shipping Fijian Drua for its 2024 Open Day, with the theme of Dream It, Weave It, Achieve It.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba expressed her enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting that attendees will meet Fijian Drua team members, who exemplify hard work and perseverance.
“The Drua players have shown us time and again that with hard work, teamwork and perseverance, no obstacle is too big. They inspire Fijians, both young and old, to pursue their dreams and tackle challenges head-on.”
She noted that both FNU and the Drua share a vision of nurturing local talent and promoting excellence.
“Just as the Drua have woven together their talents to achieve success on the rugby field, FNU weaves together knowledge, skills, and opportunities to help our students reach their full potential,” Professor Nabobo-Baba added.
The Open Day will feature interactions with players like Philip Baselala and Simione Kuruvoli, as well as Vani Arei, the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women’s Player of the Year, who will discuss their experiences.
