The largest approved employer for our Fijians in Australia, Regional Workforce Management (RWM) returned to Fiji to strengthen the working relationship with the Ministry of Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations as the Labour Sending Unit under the Fijian Government.

The Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations, Youth and Sports, Parveen Kumar Bala during a courtesy visit yesterday, (10/05/22) thanked RWM for the employment opportunity of over 1,000 workers since August 2019, equating to more than 60% of the total Fijian PLS recruitments under the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM).

“I also acknowledge your visit here in Fiji to strengthen this working relationship and I would like to re-assure your team of our full commitment to ensure that we continue to build up this Vuvale (Family) Partnership,” said Minister Bala.

He also extended his sincere appreciation to Renee Archer from the Pacific Labour Facility (PLF) for her continued support in facilitating this visit and supporting ongoing improvements.“A big “Vinaka Vakalevu” to the Australian Government for these great opportunities,” added the Minister for Employment.

A one-day workshop will be held in strengthening relations to ensure a mutually beneficial outcome for both countries, Australia and Fiji.

Furthermore, if time allows, the RWM Team will further conduct interviews for future recruitment and will provide assistance to the NEC Team in preparing their current cohort that will be leaving our shores soon.
