Last month the Benevolent Missions International team visited the Sigatoka Hospital for their annual trip to provide eye care to the people of Nadroga Navosa.
Benevolent Missions International is a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing needed ophthalmic care to the underserved in many areas around the world.
From 16-22 November, the team screened around 500 patients and performed more than 80 cataract surgeries in Sigatoka.
The Health & Medical Services Ministry acknowledges the ongoing efforts of Benevolent Missions International, whose dedication to providing vital eye care continues to make a significant impact in underserved communities across Fiji.
Benevolent Missions International has a legacy of close to thirty of providing free eye screening and surgeries in Fiji since 1995.
