In Fiji:
National Public Consultation on the review of the Employment Relations Act 2007 and Work Care Bill 2024 is underway at the Civic Centre in Suva.
There are key amendments in the ER (Amendament) Bill including new definitions, labour inspector powers, prohibited grounds of discrimination among others.
Proposal also include increase in minimum age of employment from 15 to 16 years of age.
