The crew of the RFNS Savenca is currently undergoing specialized training at the Australian Maritime College in Tasmania.
The training focuses on improving their expertise in sea safety and maritime operations. This initiative is part of the Pacific Maritime Security Program, which is funded and organized by the Australian government.
The crew’s training is a crucial step before they return to the RFNS Savenca, which is currently undergoing a refit in Cairns, Australia.
This support is part of the Vuvale partnership between Australia and Fiji, aimed at strengthening Fiji’s maritime security capabilities.
The RFNS Savenca and its trained crew are expected to return to Fiji by April, ready to continue their vital work in safeguarding Fiji’s waters.
