A man in his 60s from Rakiraki has tragically become the latest victim in Fiji’s growing road fatalities.
The incident occurred yesterday afternoon on Kings Road near Ellington when the driver reportedly lost control of his vehicle, causing it to veer off the road.
The man, along with two passengers, was quickly transported to Rakiraki Hospital. Despite efforts to save him, he was sadly pronounced dead upon arrival.
The two passengers sustained injuries and are being treated.
Authorities have confirmed that a post-mortem examination will be carried out to determine the exact cause of death, while investigations into the incident continue.
