Graduates of Pacific Polytech in Nabua were encouraged to celebrate their resilience, after successfully completing their program proving that it is never too late to change one’s life.

This was highlighted by the Minister for Environment and Climate Change – Mosese Bulitavu, who was officiating at the event yesterday

At the Pacific Polytech graduation, Chief Guest – Minister for Environment and Climate Change, Mosese Bulitavu, told the graduates that their journey was a powerful example of how courage and commitment can overcome doubt.

“It is a celebration of courage, story of doubt a bold statement that no barrier is too great while determination leads the way. Dear graduates it is your moment and what powerful moment it is. You are not just walking across the stage with a certificate in hand you, you are stepping forward with skills, confidence and future you fought to claim. And every qualification you celebrate today is a story of sacrifice” Bulitavu emphasizes.

Pacific Polytech Director, Peni Taoi emphasized how the institution was built on the belief that vocational education is a vital part of Fiji’s future and not a second choice.

“For us at Pacific Polytech sustainability is not just a but word. It is a core value we believe every course; every program we offer must embed sustainability. As an accessible and practical compass. This is not only about caring about our environment but about preparing our students to be innovators and change makers in a world that urgently needs a consistent leadership” Taoi highlights.

One of the most emotional moments came from Teresia Biutiviti, a single mother of five from Wainibuku Hart, who proudly graduated yesterday.

She thanked her family for standing by her and encouraged other single mothers to chase their dreams no matter the odds.

“The struggles I have been going through since I have a 3-year-old daughter. Every time I come to school, I always bring her along with me to school from the first day until my last today, and finally I have graduated. I always took her around until when I graduated today.”

For the graduates, yesterday was more than just a ceremony-it was a fresh start and a proud moment they’ll carry for life.
