Two instructors from New Zealand’s Army Collective Training Centre have spent the past fortnight in Nadi, working with the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) and Australian Defence Force personnel to prepare Fijian troops for deployment to the Middle East.
Their joint mission at the RFMF United Nations School is to support pre-deployment training for Fiji’s next rotation to the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) in the Golan Heights.
The collaboration has focused on sharpening military fundamentals, improving teaching methods, and boosting readiness in critical areas such as medical response, explosive hazard awareness, and combat tactics.
This trilateral partnership reflects a shared commitment to operational excellence and regional defence cooperation.
