A foreign national has been charged following the seizure of more than 4 kilograms of methamphetamine uncovered in a joint controlled operation by the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS) and the Fiji Police Force.
Authorities say the individual is believed to be linked to three men who were charged earlier this week in connection with the same importation case.
The suspect faces one count of unlawful importation of illicit drugs.
He has also been charged under the Immigration Act 2003 for breaching the conditions of his visitor visa, officially declared a prohibited immigrant.
He is expected to appear in the Nadi Magistrates Court today.
Investigations into the transnational drug network are ongoing.
