Thirty personnel from the Fiji Corrections Service took part in a specialised training session on Thursday, aimed at strengthening strategic work planning and aligning their individual roles with national goals.
Held at the Fiji Learning Institute for Public Service in Nasese, the three-hour session was led by the Ministry of Civil Service as part of its Inter-Agency Civil Service Training Program.
The workshop guided participants through the development of Individual Work Plans (IWPs) that correspond with their agency’s Annual Corporate Plans and the broader National Development Plan.
The training also introduced attendees including members from other government departments to key tools such as the Performance Management Framework Cycle, strategic planning principles, KPI alignment, and performance rating systems.
This initiative is part of the government’s wider effort to boost the capacity and efficiency of civil servants, with similar sessions expected to be rolled out regularly.
