The third state witness in the trial against nine individuals charged with the importation and possession of methamphetamine, confirmed in court that he suspected they were loading methamphetamine from the yacht into their barge.
When asked in court how the witness knew and said that the captain of the barge, had told, it was methamphetamine.
Earlier, while giving evidence, the captain told the court that fear set in during the loading of the consignment, as there was a suspicion it contained drugs.
The witness confirmed in court being among the first to enter the yacht to load sealed, wrapped containers onto the barge.
It was also confirmed that participation in the first, second, and third trips to the Yasawa waters occurred under the instructions of David Heritage, one of the accused persons.
It was also established in court that David Heritage was taking instructions from a Russian Man, who was introduced to him be Justin Ho.
The trial continues in the Lautoka Court.
