Post Fiji Pte Limited proudly opened the Inaugural Asia Pacific Postal Union (APPU) Pacific Conference today at the Novotel Hotel in Nadi. The conference, running from November 3rd to 5th, brings together Ministers, Chief Executive Officers of postal services, and senior government officials from across the Pacific region.

Launched by the Permanent Secretary for Justice, Ms. Selina Kuruleca, the event marks a major milestone in strengthening regional collaboration and tackling the unique challenges of the Pacific’s postal sector.

Themed around vision, policy, regional cooperation, operational excellence, and sector solutions, the conference focuses on fostering dialogue, driving digital transformation, and advancing sustainable postal development. A special session with international and private-sector partners will also explore practical ways to support the Pacific’s postal growth and innovation.

Post Fiji CEO Mr. Isaac Mow highlighted the strategic importance of this gathering, saying the conference reflects Fiji’s leadership in the regional postal community and its commitment to a collaborative, resilient, and forward-thinking sector.

“This platform allows Pacific nations to share insights, strengthen partnerships, and shape a more sustainable and innovative postal future,” Mr. Mow said. “We aim to harness digital tools, enhance financial inclusion, and leverage e-commerce for the benefit of all Pacific islanders.”

He added that hosting prestigious events like the APPU Conference aligns with Post Fiji’s mission of operational transformation and sustainable growth.

Post Fiji’s leadership on the international stage was further recognized when it was recently elected to the Universal Postal Union (UPU) Council of Administration during the 28th UPU Congress in Dubai; giving Fiji a stronger voice in addressing key issues faced by Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in the global postal arena.
