The Republic of Fiji Military Forces has confirmed that unidentified individuals recently attempted to gain unauthorized entry into several of its establishments.
According to the RFMF, the incidents occurred within the past two weeks but were unsuccessful due to strong security systems already in place.
A full inspection and stock-take were conducted following the attempts, with the military confirming that no weapons, ammunition, or related equipment are missing.
The Fiji Police Force is leading investigations into the matter, with the RFMF providing full cooperation as inquiries continue.
Military officials say the situation is being treated seriously, with a comprehensive review of existing security measures now underway to further strengthen protection across all facilities.
Commander RFMF has reassured the public that all weapons and ammunition remain secure and that there is no risk to public safety.
The force also reiterated its commitment to maintaining strict security standards in safeguarding its installations and the people of Fiji.
