As the financial year draws to a close, the Government, through the Ministry of Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management, is progressing preparations to ensure development projects continue to reach rural and maritime communities.
Building materials are being procured, assembled and prepared for shipment to support rural housing and other development projects, particularly across the Central and Eastern Divisions.
The work forms part of ongoing efforts to ensure projects are implemented on schedule and resources are delivered where they are needed most.
Delivering development to Fiji’s island communities requires careful planning, coordination and logistics.
From sourcing quality materials to arranging sea transport, every step is being managed to ensure supplies reach remote communities safely and efficiently.
The Ministry’s Walu Bay yard in Suva is currently stocked with building materials ready for shipment to communities across the Central and Eastern Divisions.
