Conjoined twin sisters Di Cecea and Jesipeli Kikau will depart for Saudi Arabia tomorrow to undergo a complex separation surgery at King Salman Hospital, offering new hope for the young sisters and their family.

The twins, who were born 10 months ago at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva alongside their singleton sister, Hossana, have overcome significant challenges since birth and are now preparing for the life-changing procedure.

The operation has been made possible through the strong bilateral relationship between the Governments of Fiji and Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Government is fully funding the family’s travel, accommodation and the multi-million-dollar surgery on humanitarian grounds.

The Ministry of Health and Medical Services will provide medical escort support to ensure the triplets receive appropriate care throughout their journey.

As the family prepares to leave, prayers and well wishes continue to pour in from across the country, with many hoping for a successful surgery and the safe return of the three sisters.
