The battle for the 2026 Extra Fiji Secondary Schools Football Championship Open Girls title is set to intensify after the official pool draw was confirmed.

Twenty qualifying teams have been placed into five pools ahead of the national championship, which will be held at Subrail Park in Labasa from August 19 to 22.

Pool A features Central College, Rampur College, Waiqele College and All Saints Secondary School.

Pool B includes Tavua College, MGM High School, Korovuto College and Dreketi Central College.

In Pool C, Bucalevu Secondary School, Labasa College, Suva Muslim College and Nakasi High School will battle for a place in the knockout stages.

Pool D consists of Labasa Sangam College, Nadi Sangam College, Pandit Vishnu Deo Memorial College and Ba Sangam College.

Pool E is made up of Nukuloa College, Vunimono High School, Lekutu Secondary School and Nilsen College.

The teams secured qualification through their respective zonal competitions and are now entering the final phase of preparations for the national finals.

The Open Girls division has continued to grow in strength over recent years, with schools around the country producing quality football and raising the overall standard of competition.
