The Fiji national football team, the Bula Boys, are set to begin their quest for MSG Prime Minister’s Cup glory when the tournament kicks off at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva this week.
Fiji will open its campaign against the Solomon Islands at 7pm on Friday, September 18, in what is expected to be a highly anticipated clash in front of home supporters.
The Bula Boys will then face Vanuatu at 7pm on Monday, September 21, before meeting Papua New Guinea at 7pm on Sunday, September 27.
Their final pool match will be against New Caledonia at 7pm on Wednesday, September 30, as the hosts look to secure a place in the championship decider.
The tournament will feature some of the Pacific region’s strongest football nations, with every match carrying significant importance in the race for a spot in the final.
Only the top two teams on the standings will progress to the final, which will be played on Saturday, October 3 at 4pm.
With home advantage on their side, the Bula Boys will be aiming to make a strong statement as they chase regional football supremacy and a place in the MSG Prime Minister’s Cup final.
