Derenalagi missed the entire 2026 campaign while recovering from a serious knee injury, but remained with the Drua throughout his rehabilitation as he worked towards a comeback.

The Olympic gold medallist is joined by four other players who have recommitted to the Drua — former France international Virimi Vakatawa, Kemu Valetini, Isikeli Basiyalo and young prop Harold Rounds.

Vakatawa returns after making 10 appearances in his first Drua season, while Valetini adds experience and versatility to the backline after making 34 appearances for the Club.

Basiyalo, who progressed through the Drua development pathway, will continue his development after making his Super Rugby Pacific debut in 2026, while Rounds has earned another opportunity following an impressive season with the Drua Development side.

Head coach Brad Mooar says the group adds a strong mix of experience, talent and depth as the Drua prepare for the 2027 campaign.
