Construction of the Tamavua-i-Wai Bridge and its approach roads is continuing, with several key components of the project progressing.
The Suva-side abutment has been completed and is currently undergoing curing, while remaining piling works on the bridge are also being carried out.
Once the piling works are completed, utility relocation will begin to allow the next phase of construction to proceed.
Work is continuing on both the bridge and approach roads, with the overall project scheduled for completion by the end of 2027.
The project team is working with the Consultant, Contractor, JICA and relevant utility agencies to ensure construction remains safe, efficient and on schedule.
