Defending champions Rewa will face a stern challenge in their bid to retain the FMF Inter-District Championship title after being drawn in a highly competitive pool for the 2026 Super Premier Division.

The draw, confirmed this afternoon, places Rewa alongside Labasa, Suva and Nasinu in Group A, creating what promises to be one of the most closely contested pools of the tournament.

Group B is equally stacked, featuring Ba, Lautoka, Navua and Nadi, with only the top two teams from each pool progressing to the semi-finals.

With every match carrying significant weight, teams will have little margin for error during the pool stages as they chase a place in the knockout rounds.

Mohammed Yusuf, Chief Executive Officer of the Fiji Football Association, believes fans can expect a thrilling tournament atmosphere when the country’s premier football competition kicks off.

Meanwhile, the Premier Division competition will make history this year with the inclusion of the Kiribati National Team and the Fiji Under-17 side, both set to make their debut appearances in the championship.

Kiribati has been drawn in Group A alongside Nadroga and Seaqaqa, while Fiji U17 will compete against Tailevu Naitasiri and Tavua in Group B.

Their participation adds a unique international and youth development element to the tournament, giving Fiji’s emerging young talents an opportunity to test themselves against senior opposition while also welcoming a regional representative side to the competition.

The 2026 FMF Inter-District Championship will be held from October 6 to 11 at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
