The women’s side defeated Burundi 3-1 in their latest match, with a series of strong performances across the boards helping Team Fiji maintain its momentum heading into the final stages of the competition.

Woman FIDE Master Kieran Lyons set the tone on Board One, claiming a crucial victory over Mariette Niyukuri to give Fiji an early advantage.

Woman Candidate Master Tanvi Prasad also secured an important win, while Latileta Masau added another full point to Fiji’s tally with a determined performance on Board Four.
