10th-placed Lautoka Rugby Union remain hopeful of climbing the standings with two matches left in the season.
Despite last weekend’s loss to Taveuni, Lautoka coach Ranitu remains confident the side can bounce back when they face seventh placed, Navosa at Churchill Park this weekend.
“It was a pretty tough game against Taveuni and while I am glad that Taveuni won, we had hoped as a team to come out of the game with a win. However, we’re will grateful for whatever has happened and we will go back to Lautoka and work on the things we believe were our weaknesses.”
“We are also looking forward to the remaining two games that are ahead of us.”
Ranitu thanked the team’s loyal supporters for their backing throughout the season, but says the campaign is not over yet.
He is calling on fans to turn out in numbers and support Lautoka as they look to finish the season strongly.
“To all our loyal fans and supporters, thank you for the continuous support rendered to the team throughout the season. We do understand that we were defeated by Taveuni, we’re thankful to God for giving us the strength to continue with the rest of the season.”
“We’re thankful to all the families who have supported this team. The Vanua of Vidilo, the team’s matron who has accompanied the team wherever we have gone, we are all thankful to you. We believe we are ready for this weekend’s game and we know we are ready for Navosa.”
