In Fiji:
The three police officer charged in relation to the death of Lami Police Constable Peniasi Racagi have been remanded.
Simione Rokosemudu, Iowane Sukanaisoro and Ilisoni Waqa have been jointly charged with murder, contrary to Section 237 of the Crimes Act 2009.
They appeared before Magistrate Sufia Hamza this morning.
It is alleged that the three police officers murdered Constable Peniaisi Racagi in February this year following an altercation.
The three opted to be represented by Legal Aid Commission.
The matter has been transferred to the High Court and will be called on the 23rd of this month.
