The second day of the programme brought participants further into their leadership development journey, with sessions focused on risk management, organisational culture and effective decision-making.

The Risk Management module examined how strategic, operational and financial risks can affect businesses in Fiji, introducing participants to the frameworks used to identify, assess and manage potential challenges.

FCCC Chief Executive Officer Ms Jiuta Senikavika joined the session as a guest speaker, sharing insights into how leaders can make informed decisions while navigating risks.

Participants also took part in a question-and-answer session, gaining practical guidance and encouragement to strengthen their leadership capabilities.

Attention then shifted to Organisational Culture, where Dr Rika and Ms Saukuru facilitated discussions on the connection between culture and gender, alongside the different leadership styles found in organisations.

BSP Life General Manager – People and Culture, Ms Arieta Cama, also contributed to the session, highlighting the importance of personal and professional development.

She emphasised that leading with purpose, understanding oneself and building self-awareness are essential qualities for effective leadership.

With two days left in the programme, participants are set to continue developing the knowledge, confidence and practical skills needed to become capable and purpose-driven leaders.
