Agni Deo Singh to Be Laid to Rest This Sunday

Funeral arrangements have been announced for the late Minister for Employment, Productivity and Workplace Relations, Hon. Agni Deo Singh.

Members of the public can sign condolence books at the Ministry’s Suva, Lautoka and Labasa offices during normal working hours.

The Suva condolence book is available at Level 2, Mercury House on Victoria Parade, while the Lautoka office is located at Level 2, Tavaiqia House. In Labasa, the condolence book is available at Level 2, Ratu Raobe Building.

Reguregu will be held from Thursday, September 17 to Friday, September 18, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. each day at the family residence at Lot 17, Amar Singh Road, Dilkusha, Nausori.

Members of the public, Government representatives, diplomatic missions, development partners, employers, trade unions, organisations, friends and well-wishers are welcome to attend and pay their respects.

The Official Funeral will be held on Sunday, September 20.

The funeral procession will leave the Suva CWM Mortuary for the Ministry of Employment at Civic House, where Ministry staff will pay their final respects from 8.30 a.m. to 9 a.m.

A funeral gathering and public viewing will then take place at Rishkul Sanatan College from 9.30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The late Minister will then be taken to the family residence in Dilkusha, Nausori, where family members will pay their final respects and the ritual ceremony will be held from 12.30 p.m. to 1.40 p.m.

The procession will then proceed to Raralevu Cemetery, where the cremation and final ceremony will take place from 2.15 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The public is encouraged to attend the official funeral gathering and viewing at Rishkul Sanatan College to pay their final respects.

The Ministry has also expressed its appreciation for the condolences, prayers and support extended to the late Minister’s family and the Ministry during the period of mourning.
