Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will undertake an official visit to Fiji on Monday, July 6, as the two countries continue to strengthen their longstanding bilateral partnership.

The Fijian Government says the visit reflects the close and trusted relationship between Fiji and Australia and reinforces the strong ties that have developed through the Vuvale Partnership.

Albanese’s visit follows recent trips to Fiji by Australian Foreign Affairs Minister Penny Wong and Minister for Defence Industry and Pacific Island Affairs Pat Conroy, highlighting continued high-level engagement between the two nations.

During his visit, the Australian Prime Minister will be welcomed with a traditional ceremony hosted by the Government of Fiji before holding bilateral talks with Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka and senior government officials.

The discussions are expected to focus on advancing shared strategic priorities, strengthening regional cooperation and exploring new opportunities to further enhance the Fiji-Australia Vuvale Partnership.
