Fiji 7s rep Filipo Bukayaro guided the Waimanu Green team to win the Flame Tree Waimanu 7s tournament at the Sawani Primary School ground yesterday.
Bukayaro was the only National 7s rep that featured in the two-day tournament, giving back to his community as his mom is a school teacher at the Sawani Primary School.
Waimanu Green beat Mataravua 10 -7 to win the third leg of the series.
The first series was won by Viria while Best of the Best team won the second leg of the series.
Meanwhile in the women’s division, Seahawaks led by National rep Rusila Nagasau beat Survivor Sisters 33 – nil in the final.
Survivor sister was led by Fijiana 15s rep Asinate Serevi.
Tournament co-ordinator Jone Turaganiqali says the three series were a success with good response from the teams, communities, and the Vanua.
