Crushing at the Fiji Sugar Corporation’s Lautoka Mill will begin on June 5, Rarawai Mill on June 19 and Labasa on June 13.
The Sugar Industry Tribunal issued a commencement of crushing for the 2024 season notice for growers in the three mill areas to begin harvesting a day before the start of crush dates.
The Tribunal is calling on farmers to start cutting cane on June 4 for Lautoka, June 18 for Rarawai and June 12 for Labasa.
The Tribunal says it will announce in September the expected termination of crush dates, after reviewing the harvesting and crushing performance of each mill.
