The battle for qualification to the Skipper Cup continues this weekend, with teams looking to strengthen their chances of securing one of the remaining spots in Fiji Rugby’s top provincial competition.

In Vanua Levu, Round 3 action will see Cakaudrove take on Bua and with Taveuni leading the standings after winning their opening two matches, both sides will know just how important this clash is.

Bua will be searching for their first win of the campaign, while Cakaudrove will be eager to keep pace with the frontrunners.

Over in Viti Levu, attention turns to what shapes up as a crucial Round 4 encounter between Tavua and Northland.

With competition leaders Rewa on a bye this week, both teams have an opportunity to make a statement.

Tavua currently sit second on the table with 10 points, while Northland are close behind in third on eight points, having played one game less.

As the race for qualification heats up, every point will count as teams continue their push for promotion to the Skipper Cup.
