Minister for Education, Heritage, and Arts, Premila Kumar, received a courtesy visit from the Non-Resident High Commissioner of Singapore to Fiji, Her Excellency, Ms Mary Seet-Cheng yesterday (26/10/22).
The Minister took the opportunity to reflect on the strong diplomatic relations that Fiji and Singapore have been enjoying since 1971 and to express her sincere gratitude to Her Excellency Seet-Cheng for all the support that Singapore has given to Fiji so far.
There was also a thorough discussion about the education sector, where Her Excellency shared Singapore’s direction in terms of its education system while Minister Kumar discussed how far Fiji has come in terms of education and the future of the sector since the securing of the Global Partnership for Education Funding.
The short courtesy visit ended with a gift exchange symbolizing the true friendship between the two nations.
Minister Kumar has expressed her sincere gratitude to Her Excellency, Ms Mary Seet-Cheng for the meeting.
