Education Minister Aseri Radrodro officially opened the revived Future Leaders Workshop today, reaffirming the government’s commitment to nurturing school leadership across Fiji.
Held in partnership with the Education Australia Fiji Education Program, the five-day initiative brings together 40 educators selected nationwide through an open call for expressions of interest.
Originally launched in 2012 and reintroduced this year with a renewed focus, the workshop is designed to equip school leaders with the skills needed to manage modern educational challenges.
Minister Radrodro applauded the participants for their dedication and leadership potential, urging them to embrace their roles as agents of change.
He outlined the workshop’s focus areas, which include strategic planning, school management, student-centered learning, stakeholder collaboration, and fostering safe learning environments.
Emphasizing that true leadership goes beyond titles, the Minister encouraged active participation and a long-term commitment to Fiji’s education goals, particularly in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 4 ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all.
