In a move aimed at bolstering travel links between Sydney and Rarotonga, Jetstar has announced plans to introduce a fourth weekly flight starting in April.
The decision, disclosed by Jenn Armor, Jetstar’s executive manager customer, is expected to significantly enhance accessibility between the two destinations, adding an estimated 20,000 seats annually to the route.
The expansion comes on the heels of Jetstar’s recent resumption of flights from Sydney to Rarotonga in March, following a temporary hiatus driven by decreased travel demand.
Welcoming the initiative, Karla Eggelton, CEO of Cook Islands Tourism, emphasized the positive impact the additional flight would have in mitigating the reduced flight capacity originating from New Zealand.
