The Fijian Community in Papua New Guinea (PNG), alongside the Fijian High Commission, hosted a warm welcome dinner for Fiji’s Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro, on the evening of March 19th.
The event celebrated the strong bond between the Fijian diaspora and their homeland.
During the gathering, the Fijian diaspora expressed their gratitude for the Minister’s visit and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Fiji’s growth and development.
Many shared personal experiences and provided valuable insights on how Fiji can further engage with its citizens living overseas to strengthen the nation’s global ties.
“I am deeply moved by the warm reception and the overwhelming sense of camaraderie I have felt tonight,” said Radrodro.
“It is inspiring to see how connected our diaspora remains to Fiji and how committed they are to contributing to our country’s development. This evening’s gathering reinforces the importance of these relationships and ensures our citizens abroad continue to be a vital part of the Fijian family.”
The dinner served as an important reminder of the continued connection and support that Fijians living abroad offer to their home country.
