Fiji’s vibrant tourism sector took center stage this week as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, Viliame Gavoka, officially launched the 2025 Tourism Super Week.
With the theme “Veisolisoli for Success: Sharing Knowledge, Building Futures,” the event is quickly becoming a highlight on the national calendar, drawing tourism professionals from across the country and beyond.
Speaking at the opening, DPM Gavoka emphasized the heart of Fijian hospitality lies in the practice of veisolisoli a deeply rooted tradition of mutual exchange and community upliftment.
“It’s more than just business. It’s about seasoned hoteliers mentoring grassroots hosts, investors learning from our local craftsmen, and every guest feeling like part of our family,” Gavoka said.
“That’s what makes Fiji truly unforgettable.” he said
