The National Rugby League intends to hold more NRL games in Fiji.
The Melbourne Storm and New Castle Knights preseason trial match, which is scheduled for February of next year in Fiji, is already generating a lot of enthusiasm.
Melbourne Storm Chief Executive Officer Justin Rodski says Fiji has also been given the green light to host the Pacific Championship in October next year.
Rodski says there is also a possibility of playing night games in Fiji.
During his visit to Fiji, Rodski signed an official deal with the Coalition Government and Tourism Fiji, and he believes that Fiji’s sporting landscape is ready to host more NRL games in the future.
Melbourne Storm and the New Castle Knights will play on 24th February at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
