The Fiji Pearls have jumped 16th place in the latest World Netball rankings released by World Netball, marking an improvement in their ranking.
The World Rankings was updated to include the results from international series that took place from the 30th September to the 10th December, with 84 matches taking place across Netball’s five Regions.
Fiji Pearls has replaced Samoa at 16th, following their silver medal finish at the Pacific Games in December.
They won all their games in the pool stage, as well as their semi-final before losing to 8th ranked team Tonga in the Final.
Netball Fiji CEO Vivian Koster says they are happy that the Fiji Pearls have increased their world ranking.
It’s a slow build to increase their ranking but that is how the Netball rankings work.
It includes older matches dating back to 2019, these will eventually fall off and Fiji will likely increase their ranking again.
